Role Description
The volunteer will: • perform money handling/ EFTPOS transaction, donation collection and banking duties, as well as support with any raffle ticket and event sales to ensure all transactions of cash and electronic sales are processed correctly (when required) • provide excellent customer service, information and liaison to maintain high customer satisfaction and resolve issues in a timely manner • conduct marketing, promotional, advocacy and advertising activities for VA events, products and services to represent and increase VA's positive and growing community presence • engage and consult with a broad range of stakeholders • discuss and agree on actions required to address organisational needs based on discussions with stakeholders • consult with stakeholders, use specialist expertise, information and knowledge to address business needs and goals of the organisation • complete required data recording tasks to accurately record information about your volunteering activities The volunteer may: • perform sighted guide techniques to effectively support clients, volunteers or staff to safely navigate their environment • perform hospitality duties by preparing food or refreshments and servicing individuals to ensure requirements and demands are met in a timely and polite manner • perform administration tasks and office duties (e.g. data entry and collection, filing, scanning, creation of documents, coordinating rosters) accurately and in a timely manner to ensure operations run smoothly • be required to attend meetings that assist with planning and information provision • perform driving tasks to transport (pick up and drop off) clients, other volunteers, staff, or parcels and goods • ensure vehicles are left in a standard for use by other staff and volunteers • provide assistance with event related activities by supporting any planning and coordination of approved events (e.g. helping create proposals, finding suitable venues, room layout planning, entertainment schedules/ program, organising facilities such as car parks, security and first aid) • facilitate, plan, implement and deliver group activities (on a regular basis or as required) to support organisation related initiatives, programs or groups • guide or be the “discussion leader” for groups/ or meetings to encourage participants to take the reign. A facilitator's job is to get others to assume responsibility and take the lead. • be involved in all parts of the cooking process including shopping, food preparation, serving and cleaning

Other Requirements
All potential volunteers will need to undertake a Police Check Training modules will need to be completed on safe driving practices.
