Role Description
Key Duties: • Support team when Volunteer Connectors are NOT available throughout the year for the TELELINK Program • Connect the nominated Telelink groups as per the daily schedule or as advised by Staff • General administrational tasks including documentation and provision of accurate reporting on participant attendances to Staff • Document and email Staff any messages, follow up or requests from either the Volunteer Facilitators or the participants of the Telelink groups • As required, inform Staff of any matters relating to the Telelink program (technical, Volunteer or Client related) • Times Required: 1-2 days a month during business hours 9am-5pm and after hours as per the planner / Telelink Daily Schedule

The volunteer will demonstrate abilities in: • Administrational tasks • Having high level interpersonal and communication skills • Excellent listening skills • A clear speaking voice • Encouraging individual and group discussion • Working with people who have a disability or sensory loss • Working with minimal supervision The volunteer may have abilities in: • Facilitation skills • Leadership skills • Networking skills • Public speaking, promotion and stakeholder engagement skills • Team work skills • Time management skills • Visual translation skills • Working with people who are blind or have low vision . Computer proficiency including an email address
Training
Training for this role includes: • Volunteer Essentials • role specific training (as required) (including Audio teleconference system ‘Conferlink’ training)
Other Requirements
Police Check, Working with Children Check, NDIS worker screen check are mandatory to be a volunteer with Vision Australia.
